A Posh Ambassador is someone who represents the Poshmark community well. They are active in buying, selling, and sharing listings on the app. Anyone can apply to be a Posh Ambassador. What is a Posh Ambassador on Poshmark?

Let's go back to the basics. As a status equivalent to social media influencers with a highly-visible position, a Posh Ambassador should know Poshmark's rules and follow them. You have to meet specific criteria to qualify, including engagement, rating, sales, and history of spreading Posh Love. Good customer service skills is also an edge. Once you accomplish these, you will be invited to join the Posh Ambassador program.

Being an ambassador comes with more perks than just being a regular seller. Here are some benefits to being a Posh ambassador:

  • It drives more awareness to your closet through opportunities like hosting in-app Posh Parties.
  • You unlock access to new potential buyers. It makes you a "suggested user," making your closet the recommended closet to new users.
  • You will receive special perks, including access to Posh Affiliate, the Posh Insider (the Posh Ambassador newsletter), special offers, events, and more.
  • Poshmark randomly selects several ambassadors daily and displays them on its "Connect With Posh Ambassador List." The list, which refreshes daily, gives ambassadors a leg up by increasing the exposure to grow their following.

How do you become a Posh Ambassador?

With all the benefits of becoming an ambassador, who is eligible to be one? What are the criteria and milestones required to qualify? Here's a run-down on how to be invited to and eventually join the Posh Ambassador program:

  • 5,000 Community Shares - Share a minimum of 5,000 items from other Poshers' listings. Sharing other Poshers' listings also increases the activity of your listings. More actions on your listings signify a broader audience reach –  new followers, likes, shares, and even sales! a broader audience reach –  new followers, likes, shares, and even sales!
  • 5,000 Self-Shares - Share your own listings at least 5,000 times! Don't worry; it's not as tedious as you think. You just have to keep in mind that sharing your own listings is how you promote your items and get more sales.
  • 50 Available Listings - Have at least 50 available listings in your closet. There's no limit to what category of the item you can sell, be it for women's, men's or kids.
  • 15 Listings Sold – To qualify as a Posh Ambassador, you should have made at least 15 sales. Share your items every day, and tag keywords in your listings increase exposure.
  • Average rating of 4.5 - Have an average purchase rating of at least 4.5 stars. A rating is something you can't control, but you can syre do a few things on your end. *Sales tips: Always fold clothing items neatly, add extra bubble wrap when necessary, include a thank you card in each order, and ship it out ASAP! (Preferably within 24-48 hours.)
  • Less Than 3 Days Average Ship Time - Be sure to maintain an average ship time of fewer than three days. It's a no-brainer that faster shipping makes a happier customer and will be more likely to buy from you again.
  • 1 Love Note Given - Leave at least one love note for another posher. A rating or comment, mostly referred to as a Love Note,  is left after purchasing from another seller.

To keep track of your progress of becoming a Poshmark Ambassador, navigate your settings on the app. Head on over to the Account Tab > My Posh Status, and you will then see Posh Ambassador Activity that will show you the list of criteria you have to accomplish. Once you have completed the requirements, you will receive an invitation to become a Poshmark ambassador within a few days.

How long does it take to become a Posh Ambassador?

There are no two same Posher journeys. Each is unique, and there's no standard amount of time it takes to become a Posh Ambassador.

If you're a diligent seller who is just starting, given that you maintain a frequent in-app activity, it may take up to longer than a month.

It is honestly pretty easy to meet the average rating and average ship time, and most sellers really don't have trouble with it. You only need to work on making a few sales.

Probably the most challenging criteria are hitting the available listing requirement. Some sellers have trouble sourcing inventory. They worry about finding items to sell to accommodate the list of at least 50 available items. But since Poshmark has several casual sellers who are just trying to clean out their closets, you'll most likely find items underpriced, making them ideal to buy and resell it on your Poshmark store. But if you're looking for more items to sell, you might as well look out online for clearance sales.
